Eggen Gardsysteri

Eggen Gardysteri was established by Liv Bjørnstad and Ola Eggen way back in 2001, which makes them one of the oldest gardysteries we have in Norway.

Eggen Gardsysteri is run today by their son Marius Eggen and his partner Lotte Iversen. The specialty is different mold cheeses, but they also have some hard cheese and salad cheese as well. Local delicacies such as mølske and gubb are also produced in season.

Since the establishment of the cheese factory, cheese making and sales of the cheeses have increased. The cheeses are now sold in most chains with the largest sales in Trøndelag and the Oslo area.

Eggen Gardsysteri's cheeses have received many prizes and awards over the years, both nationally and internationally. At the latest in 2022, three silvers and a Supergold in the WCA (World Cheese Awards).
