Austmann is a craft brewery located in Trondheim. They brew classics as well as innovative beers, and offer tastings in their colorful and artsy Skurktur-painted taproom in the warehouse district of Sluppen.
On the island of Uttian in Frøya, on the outer banks of Trøndelag county at the edge of the roaring Atlantic Sea, you'll find this brewery. They draw inspiration from stories of olden times when men sailed at sea, and brew their beer on some of the purest water in Norway.
Maybe 'the world's smallest craft brewery' hailing from the west coast island of Averøy, near the salty and scenic Atlantic Ocean Road. Since they're all about the locals this is a brew you won't get anywhere else.
E.C. Dahls has been brewing beer in Trondheim since 1856 and can look upon three centuries of winning gold medals for their beers. In 2016 they renovated their brewery in grand style, and have since brewed close to a hundred beers, in addition to their staple pilsner Dahls Pils.
Fæby Brewery is located at Fæby Farm in Verdal about an hour north of Trondheim. They brew their craft beer on local malt made by Bonsak Malt in Skogn, so their beer tastes of 'Trøndelag terroir.' Pure water is important, which is why they source their water from Leksdal Lake. It doesn't get better than that.
Hammerhead Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery situated in Trondheim. They have a modern beer philosophy and aren't afraid of challenging the beer styles. Preferring fresh and locally sourced ingredients, they brew everything from the classic to the radical.
Hogna brews everything from light lemon-fresh wheat beers to full chocolate-dark stouts, and use locally sourced ingredients as often as they can. They get their malt from the local Bonsak Malt, Norway's northernmost malthouse. Hogna's craft brew goal is more flavor and more depth, yet balanced. And their motto? Klostergården is a small farm on the quaint island of Tautra in the long and wide Trondheim Fjord. This place has a lot of history, from the medieval court of Frostating to the monastic traditions of Tautra Abbey. Klostergården's smoky Viking-tradition beer called Alstadberger has the Norwegian Specialty Brand.
Monkey Brew is a Trondheim-based craft brewery, making high quality, innovative beers with lots of flavor.
Rodebak Farmhouse brews beer on the old family farm in rural Innset, an hour south of Trondheim. Grandma used to brew beer here, and today they brew a fine range of Equinox-IPA, Biere de Garde and Saison.

Underneath the restaurant Frati in the town square of Trondheim in an almost 300 years old vault cellar, is Øx Tap Room. There is a lot of history in these walls. Øx brews craft beer in classic styles that pair well with the food in the restaurant. They also have their own distillery, you can look into it right next to the bar.
rondhjem Micro Brewery was established in 1998 and was at the time the very second brewery pub opening in Norway. In 2017 they got going with their own microdistillery. The brewery is located in Prinsen Street right in the middle of Trondheim, and is a great place for enjoying craft beer and home made spirits.
Askheimer Meadery is located in the southern part of Norway; the mead is made in Rakkestad. They have all styles of mead; both traditional ones as well as more modern and innovative kinds. The ingredients are locally sourced, and often the mead-makers themselves are out gathering plants and herbs from verdant forests and gardens.
The family-owned Berentsens Brew House was established in 1895, and even today it is run as a family business by the fourth and fifth generation. They brew everything from traditional pilsners to the most popular and creative beers, all while winning international awards.

Edel Cider is made by Åkre Farm on the fertile west coast of Norway. The Edel ciders won gold as Norway's Best Cider three times in the last five years, and they won gold in international cider competitions in Frankfurt in 2017 and in San Sebastián in 2019.

Lervig is located in Stavanger on the south coast of Norway. They love traveling the globe getting inspired by international beer trends, and make collaborations with world-class brewers. They brew easy pilsners, pale ales, bold & complex barrel-aged stouts, barley wines and sours.

Tapp & Kork have a tap room right in the middle of the beautiful town of Molde, which is located on the west coast of Norway about four hours south of Trondheim. They opened already in 2015 and have become a happening place for tastings and beer events.
